Education and Training

Equalization of degrees involves the evaluation and comparison in terms of type, specialty and units of study of degrees obtained outside Iraq after high school (diploma, bachelor's degree, one-year and two-year diploma, master's degree, PhD). Holders of foreign degrees who wish to work with their degrees or continue their studies in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq must have their degrees equivalent to those of a university or institute in the Kurdistan Region.
Approval of graduates of public universities and institutes in PhD, masters, higher diplomas, bachelors and diplomas, after verification and consistency of documents, information, seals and signatures on the certificate with the data stored in the Directorate of Certificates or in the form of tangible files and computer data, and Coordination with public universities for this purpose.
Pedagogical training courses are offered to those who wish to obtain a scientific degree after completing an academic master's or doctorate. This course introduces participants to modern teaching systems and methods in universities as practiced in developed countries.
Preparing a list of accredited universities abroad for study (bachelor's, master's, one-year and two-year diploma, PhD), which is updated annually and according to this list students can choose a university to study.
According to the needs of the institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the public universities of the Kurdistan Region and the Ministry of Education, holders of academic degrees (Master and phD) who meet the requirements for scientific degrees
can apply to public universities in the Kurdistan Region.
Scientific dedication is obtaining a scientific dedication license in order to enhance and expand scientific and academic capacity in the field of higher education and university services within the framework of post-PhD and sabbatical leave, according to the conditions and requirements of the guidelines.
