Pedagogical Training Courses in Kurdistan Regional Universities

Pedagogical training courses are offered to those who wish to obtain a scientific degree after completing an academic master's or doctorate. This course introduces participants to modern teaching systems and methods in universities as practiced in developed countries.

Conditions
Applicants must hold an academic master's or PhD degree.
If the applicant is a graduate of Kurdistan Regional University, he/she must submit the university order awarding the master's or PhD degree.
If the applicant is a graduate of foreign universities, he/she must submit the ministerial order of equalization of his/her degree. If the equalization process is not completed at the time of submission, the applicant must bring a letter of support from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research It is in the process of equalization, provided it is academic. Also, if he does not submit the equalization order by the end of the pedagogical training course, he will not be awarded the pedagogical training course certificate until the equalization process is completed.
Professional qualifications are not allowed to participate in pedagogical training courses.
Applicants must submit a certificate of English language proficiency as follows:
- Certificates of English Language Centers in public universities in the Kurdistan Region, which must be at the level of (Pre-Intermediate) in the previous system and at the level (Intermediate) in the new system (Imperial) and does not require verification.
International English language proficiency certificates such as (IELTS, TOEFL IBT, TOEFL PBT, PTE) which must be obtained either in the Kurdistan Region or in English speaking countries such as (UK, USA, Canada, Australia) and any other place is not acceptable.
- Accepted scores of international certificates are as follows:
- IELTS/5
- PTE/52
- TOEFL IBT/59
- TOEFL PBT/414
No more than three years have passed since the issuance of an English language proficiency certificate, whether domestic or international.
If it is an international English language proficiency certificate, it must be certified by the English language centers of public universities.
Documents
University Order awarding Master’s or PhD degrees if the applicant is a graduate of local universities.
Ministerial order equalizing his/her degree, if the applicant is a graduate of foreign universities.
English language proficiency certificate according to the above requirements and guidelines.
Time
The pedagogical training course lasts six months.
Price
In public universities: 500,000 five hundred thousand Iraqi Dinars.
In private universities: 750,000 seven hundred and fifty thousand Iraqi Dinars.
Procedures
When announcing a pedagogical training course by a center of any university, the applicant shall submit the documents to the center of interest in accordance with the guidelines and conditions mentioned.
The centers send all applications to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research/Office of Research and Development/Directorate of Pedagogy and Courses) for verification.
After ensuring that the entire process has been conducted in accordance with the guidelines and procedures, approval is given to the center to start the course.
After the participant takes the course for six months and successfully passes all the stages and after the final evaluation, the participant will be awarded a certificate of pedagogical training course
