Any foreigner who officially visits the Kurdistan Region through the border points or international airports is initially issued a visa for a period of thirty (30) days Officially have the right to stay in the Kurdistan Region
But If the foreigner wishes to stay in the Kurdistan Region for longer than this period, he/she must apply for a visa extension in order to be officially entitled to stay in the Kurdistan Region.

Any individual is eligible to open a personal account at one of the Governmental Commercial Banks and can obtain cheque books in order to deposit or withdraw funds.

Every piece of equipment used daily for production in factories and companies, such as agricultural and professional equipment, must be certified by a registrar, which records the name of the equipment, type and how to use a unique number, this is used as an identity card for the equipment.

All documents issued from outside the Kurdistan Region and brought to the Kurdistan Region for use must be verified and approved by the Ministry of Justice in order to acquire legal status.

Issuance of residency cards to foreigners who come to the Kurdistan Region through residency and visa companies. After receiving a visit visa, they can apply for a residency card to stay in the Kurdistan Region. This card is valid for six months or one year.

Documents issued in a foreign country which will be used in the Kurdistan Region, such as powers of attorney, university certificates, birth, death and marriages records, must be “authenticated” or “legalized” before they can be recognized as valid in the Kurdistan Region.

It is a document authorising foreign citizens to enter the Kurdistan Region through an electronic system, which is created for this purpose.

Issuance of residency cards is for spouses (husband and wife) who are one Iraqi and the other foreign.

It is the approval of translations of documents issued by an official entity
