Granting permission for scientific dedication abroad

Applicants must be Iraqi citizens.

The applicant must submit a promise to return home after graduation.

- Post- PhD:

Applicants must hold a Ph.D.

Only hold the scientific title (teacher) and must not have passed five years on his degree.

Applicants must have a proposal, and be approved by the scientific committee of their university.

Applicants must obtain unconditional admission to a university accredited by the Ministry.

At least a published paper in an accredited scientific journal. It does not include the duration of the language course and no time is given for language learning.

Two years of practical service after obtaining, reinstatement, and equalization of the doctorate.

Authorisation to have a department at his university whose license does not apply to the work of his department.

Post PhD leave is for one year only.

The post PhD scholarly dedication is awarded only once.

During the scientific commitment, the researcher must prepare for publication of a scientific paper in an accredited scientific journal within one year, for scientific sections in a Clarivate Analytics Indexed Journals (Q1 , Q2) and for humanities in a Scopus Indexed Journals (Q1 , Q2). , Q3). Must have university affiliation.

Applicants must submit a Progression Letter every three months.

Applicants must present two seminars and organize training courses for colleagues in universities in the Kurdistan Region according to the skills acquired.

Research conducted during postdoctoral studies can be used for advancement.

- Sabbatical Leave:

Holder of scientific title should not be less than (Teacher)

Holders of the scientific title of Assistant professors or professors are entitled to sabbatical leave to conduct research.

He/she must obtain admission from an accredited university or scientific institution, and the admission letter must state the purpose. If the purpose is scientific research, he/she must publish research at the end, and if it is training, the purpose of the training must be stated. If the reason for admission is a translation of scientific books or scientific sources, the objective must be achieved by the end of the allotted period. and finally, deliver a seminar.

The content of the acceptance letter must be approved by the scientific committee of the department at the university.

Must have passed the quality assurance process and have a two-year certificate.

Authorisation to have a department at the university where he serves that his license does not apply to the work of his department.

Sabbatical leave is paid every five years.
