Any foreign nationals visiting Kurdistan Region of Iraq is eligible for obtaining a Temporary Driving License. This license is valid for one year only.

Conditions
The requestor must be present at the General Directorate of Traffic Police - Regional.
Must hold a valid legally translated driving license from the country of origin.
Must have a valid Residency Card.
Documents
Original copy of Passport.
Original copy of the Driving License, notarized by legal translation.
Original copy of the Residency Card.
Two (2) Personal Photographs.
All documents must be original and photocopies must be colour copies.
Time
30 to 60 minutes.

Free of charge. No applicable fees.
Procedures
The requestor visits the General Directorate of Traffic Police - Regional.
The requestor visits the note taker (an employee that fills out the application) at the Directorate for filling out the application form.
The next step is visiting the International Office for registering the request.
The requestor takes the application to the General Director for approval.
Visits the International Office one more time for printing the license.
The final step is visiting the General Director's office for final approval and collecting the license.
